Spell of the Day

The half court serves as an imaginary kingdom’s road map. For a mage, the half court also serves as a workshop where spells of varying degrees of power and use are cast. Spells and the patterns required to cast them are listed on individual spell cards.

Fortificus is a spell that adds marker cones to existing towns and gates on the court. It is a spell that every mage should include in their starting lineup. In order to be cast, the mage needs to shoot three baskets. There are permissible misses, though these misses alter the potency of the spell.

Should forticus always be the opening spell cast in a game? The more markers cones on the court, the more difficult it will be for the spy to escape. I have yet to play a game where  Forticus was not in my starting lineup.
